138-161: Optimize space filtering logic.

The current implementation fetches subspaces sequentially for each space, which could be slow for many spaces.

Consider batching the requests or using a single GraphQL query to fetch all spaces with their subspaces in one go.

src/main/topLevelPages/myDashboard/newVirtualContributorWizard/newVirtualContributorQueries.graphql (2)

Line range hint 1-24: Consider renaming and optimizing the query.

  1. The query name contains "New" which should be removed as per PR objectives.
  2. The deep nesting (me -> user -> account -> spaces) could impact performance.
  3. Consider using field aliases to improve readability.

Apply this diff to improve the query:

-query NewVirtualContributorMySpaces {
+query VirtualContributorMySpaces {
   me {
     id
     user {
       id
-      account {
+      account @alias(value: "userAccount") {
         id
         host {
           id
         }
-        spaces {
+        spaces @alias(value: "accountSpaces") {
           id
           license {
             id
             availableEntitlements
           }

28-38: Add pagination and depth limiting to prevent performance issues.

The current implementation has several potential issues:

  1. Recursive subspace fetching without depth limits could lead to performance problems.
  2. Missing pagination could cause issues for spaces with many subspaces.

Consider these improvements:

  1. Add pagination using first and after arguments.
  2. Implement depth limiting using a custom directive or separate queries for different levels.

Example implementation:

query AllSpaceSubspaces($spaceId: UUID!, $first: Int!, $after: String) {
  lookup {
    space(ID: $spaceId) {
      id
      subspaces(first: $first, after: $after) {
        pageInfo {
          hasNextPage
          endCursor
        }
        edges {
          node {
            ...spaceProfileCommunityDetails
            # Consider separate query for nested subspaces
            # to control depth
          }
        }
      }
    }
  }
}

src/domain/journey/space/SpaceDashboard/SpaceDashboardView.tsx (1)

37-38: LGTM! Clean reorganization of VC-related imports.

The relocation of VC utilities to a dedicated 'TryVC' folder improves code organization while maintaining functionality.

src/main/topLevelPages/myDashboard/Campaigns/CampaignBlock.tsx (1)

5-5: LGTM! Component renaming is consistent.

The changes align with the broader refactoring effort to rename the virtual contributor wizard components across the codebase.

Also applies to: 9-9, 30-30

src/main/topLevelPages/myDashboard/newVirtualContributorWizard/ExistingSpace.tsx (5)

27-27: LGTM! Props interface simplified.

The component now receives pre-filtered spaces directly instead of fetching them internally, improving component responsibility separation.

Also applies to: 30-30

32-33: LGTM! Added loading state for form submission.

The submitLoading state helps prevent duplicate submissions and provides better user feedback.

Line range hint 51-62: LGTM! Space hierarchy traversal logic.

The code correctly handles the space hierarchy by iterating through spaces, subspaces, and sub-subspaces while maintaining the parent-child relationships.

90-94: LGTM! Loading states properly handled in UI.

The UI correctly reflects both initial loading and form submission states, providing clear feedback to users.

Also applies to: 111-115

68-75: 🛠️ Refactor suggestion

Add error handling for form submission.

The form submission logic should handle potential errors during the async operation.

 const onCreate = async (values: { subspaceId: string }) => {
   setSubmitLoading(true);
+  try {
     const bok = listItems.filter(s => s.id === values.subspaceId)[0];
     if (bok) {
       await onSubmit(bok);
     }
+  } catch (error) {
+ // Let the global error handler handle the error
+    throw error;
+  } finally {
     setSubmitLoading(false);
+  }
 };

Likely invalid or redundant comment.

src/main/topLevelPages/myDashboard/newVirtualContributorWizard/useVirtualContributorWizard.tsx (3)

11-11: LGTM! Added import for space subspaces query.

The new query will help fetch and filter spaces with their subspaces.

Line range hint 555-619: LGTM! Wizard component dependencies updated.

The component's dependencies array correctly includes all the required states and callbacks.

623-623: LGTM! Hook exports updated.

The exports are consistent with the new naming convention.

Also applies to: 627-627

src/domain/community/contributor/Account/ContributorAccountView.tsx (1)

16-16: LGTM! Component renaming is consistent.

The changes align with the broader refactoring effort to rename the virtual contributor wizard components across the codebase.

Also applies to: 158-158, 508-508

src/main/topLevelPages/myDashboard/newVirtualContributorWizard/newVirtualContributorQueries.graphql (1)

Line range hint 40-56: Well-structured fragment definition.

The fragment follows good practices:

  • Reuses common fields across queries
  • Has a clear, logical structure
  • Includes essential space information

src/main/topLevelPages/myDashboard/newVirtualContributorWizard/ExistingSpace.tsx (2)

Line range hint 38-62: Consider simplifying the space hierarchy traversal.

The nested loops and URL selection logic could be made more maintainable. Consider extracting the hierarchy traversal into a separate utility function using recursion.

Here's a suggested implementation:

const traverseSpaceHierarchy = (
  space: SelectableSpace,
  parentSpaces: SelectableSpace[] = [],
  result: SelectableKnowledgeSpace[] = []
) => {
  result.push({
    id: space.id,
    name: `${space.profile.displayName}${parentSpaces.length > 0 ? '' : ` (${t('common.space')})`}`,
    url: parentSpaces.length > 0 ? parentSpaces[parentSpaces.length - 1].profile.url : space.profile.url,
    roleSetId: space.community.roleSet.id,
    parentRoleSetIds: parentSpaces.map(space => space?.community.roleSet.id),
  });

  space.subspaces?.forEach(subspace =>
    traverseSpaceHierarchy(subspace, [...parentSpaces, space], result)
  );

  return result;
};

const listItems = useMemo(() => {
  const result: SelectableKnowledgeSpace[] = [];
  spaces.forEach(space => traverseSpaceHierarchy(space, [], result));
  return result;
}, [spaces]);

Line range hint 90-115: Consider simplifying the loading state conditions.

The loading state conditions could be made more maintainable by combining them into a single derived state.

Consider extracting the loading logic:

const showLoading = loading && spaces.length === 0;
const showNoSpaces = !loading && spaces.length === 0;
const showSpaces = spaces.length > 0;
const isButtonDisabled = !isValid || loading || submitLoading;

return (
  // ...
  <DialogContent>
    {showLoading && <Loading />}
    {showNoSpaces && (
      <Caption>{t('createVirtualContributorWizard.existingSpace.noSpaces')}</Caption>
    )}
    {showSpaces && (
      // ... rest of the form
    )}
  </DialogContent>
  // ...
);
