- Core status: (Updates, Outlooks, Etc.)
- Atmosphere:
- Focused still on NGGPS
- Optimization of the dynamical solver
- Implementation of new physics
- Nothing urgent related to a release
- Focused still on NGGPS
- Land Ice:
- Not much to report, mostly working on ACME related stuff
- Ocean:
- Not much to report, mostly working on ACME related stuff
- Sea Ice:
- Not much to report, mostly working on ACME related stuff
- Atmosphere:
- Mesh Spec Document
- Need to post
- Framework modifications in the works
- Filter Infrastructure
- Aggregated Halo Exchanges
- Elimanating the mpas_constants module
- Would like to remove the mpas_constants module, and instead specify values that cores can use for core specific constants modules
- Creating a thread safe mpas framework
- Testing infrastructure
- Ocean has 8-10 test cases
- Test cases can be difficult to configure, since they are all different
- Test cases should be configured based on things in revision control
- Have spent a lot of time trying to set up test cases
- Atmosphere typically stores namelist / streams files somewhere to configure test cases
- Ocean has put together a workflow that allows minimal specification for test cases to be "generated"
- Would like the model synchronized with the test cases
- Trying to figure out how to synchronize the testing with our model
- No problem making a testing directory at the top level, and in the interim, making core specific ocean / atmosphere / landice / etc. directories that can contain core specific testing.
- Eventually, the test case infrastructure might be moved to a shared level.
- Example branches:
- Ocean has 8-10 test cases
