- Core summaries: Status, Needs and Outlooks
- Atm:
- Working on threading
- Ocean:
- Have been spending time on MPAS-O in ACME
- Working on analysis members
- Will need particle framework soonish
- Working on threading as well
- Land ice:
- Nothing to report
- Will be looking at MPAS-LI in the coupled model soon
- Sea ice:
- Working on testing velocity solver
- Will be looking at MPAS-CICE in the coupled model soon as well
- Atm:
- Managing permissions in MPAS-Dev
- Finer grain control over teams and members of MPAS-Dev
- Could be used to bring in specific people who are developing parameterizations
- Might not meet atmosphere needs for restricting access to specific branches / parts of code
- Seems like it would only really allow modifying teams from other members than owners
- Particle framework
- Over the last year or so, a particle framework has been added to MPAS-O
- We hope to use it to do science within the ocean over the next several years
- Will do all science with ocean/develop
- Modified the block_type definition, with 3 new data types
- Added utility routines to manage a particle list
- Two paths forward:
- Adding framework + data structures into develop (All cores can access the "framework")
- Adding just data structures
- Will work to get PR split into three PRs:
- Addition of framework
- Addition of Wachpress
- Addition of ocean "handler"
- Other items?
- Is anyone going to work on supporting CIME?
- MPAS-O, MPAS-LI, MPAS-CICE will as part of ACME
- Is anyone going to work on supporting CIME?
