Main window
If everything works properly, Main window is the window you see once you run the desktop client. It looks like the folowing
From the main window, you can do everything the client is capable of or open any other window that can do it.
The gear icon in the top right corner opens program settings.
The Add Song
button adds a new song to the current collection.
The Edit
button opens the Collection Editor window, where you can manage the songs.
The Load
buttons loads a songbook. In remote mode it attempts to download data from the server. In default mode it tries to find a data.zip
file and then it imports this zip file, overwriting the current songbook. You may need to restart the program afterwards.
The Save
button saves a songbook. In remote mode it attempts to upload the data to the server. In default mode it creates a file data.zip
which contains the entire songbook.
The Export
button shows all available export options.
The text field in the Song 1
section lets you to input the id of a song that you want to display on the left. You need to press Enter to apply the changes.
The Edit HTML
button in the 'Song 1' section opens a code editor where you can edit (format) the song that is being displayed on the left.
The section 'Song 2' does the equivalent for the song on the right.
Keep in mind that manually setting the song id may disable browsing using the arrow keys, if the current songs are not in the right order (that is the order they are in the songbook). To re-enable browsing, either set the songs in that way that they actually make up for a page in the songbook or use the Navigate to song
feature in the collection editor window (click the Edit
button).
The Refresh
button reloads some components of the program. Use it if you do not see some changes you have made or settings you have applied.
The PDF Preview
button creates and opens a PDF file of the currently open page of the songbook. This is how that page will look when printed out!
