Basic Setup

Getting the executable

For our basic setup we do not have to make any changes to the source code and thus we can use a precompiled executable from releases. If you do not trust me, you can of course build the application yourself - see How To Build.

Installing

The precompiled executable is configured to automatically install scripts and resources so we do not have to deal with that. Assuming you did not alter the source code, the executable you built should work the same way.

The application creates some files for its own usage so we recommend putting it in a designated folder, instead of keeping it for example in Downloads.

Creating a Songbook

When you first run the application, it asks you in a dialog whether you want to create a new songbook or load one from a local file. Choose the option 'Create' and your songbook should be created. Then you can proceed by adding a first song. Tada!
