Acceptance

Acceptance is an activity in SoftwareDevelopment, in which the ProductOwner or their representative checks work that has been Delivered by the development team and "signs off" on it—that is, they affirm that it meets their expectations. Acceptance is usually a Gate on software being Promoted to Production.
