Pail
Pail is a container that is larger than a bucket that can be used to transfer certain liquids and for milking animals.
Place 4 lumber and 1 tool metal sheet in the crafting grid to craft a Wooden pail.
A pail can contain the following liquids:
- Fresh water
- Milk
- Goat milk
The capacity of a pail depends on the type of material the pail is made of.
Type | Capacity (buckets) |
---|---|
Wooden Pail | 4 |
Steel Pail (coming soon) | 8 |
When milking animals using a pail, 1 bucket worth of milk is retrieved at a time. Partially filled pail can be used to milk animals as long as it can fit another bucket of milk of the same kind. Goat milk and regular milk cannot be combined together.
Milking animals using a pail (as well as a Large bowl) utilizes new milking mechanics with the following features:
- Milking timer is reduced by 4 hours, which allows daily milking on a rough schedule (2 hours sooner and 2 hours later)
- Ibex can be milked every 20 days
- Milking Goats and Ibex produces Goat milk instead of regular milk
Milking features can be adjusted by changing the following config values.
Config | Description |
---|---|
enableGoatMilkFromGoats |

enableIbexHavingMilk |
