• Wallet Selector
  • How do you get a relying party connected to the right wallet?
  • Proposal by the Google to have the mobile operating system to serve as the layer between wallets and the relying party to facilitate interactions

    • Sophia will work to arrange for the Google Android team to come to a future architecture SIG call to discuss
  • Need to be aware that the mobile OS is a hostile environment, and we need to understand the security
  • IETF is working on Remote Attestation Procedures (RATS) that is looking to combine app attestation and wallet and device attestation as a single idea so that you are attesting to the ecosystem instead of the wallet
  • This requires that we can define what the ecosystem is
  • Juliana would like to discuss Universal Open Verifier for Wallets in a future session or next week at IIW, which would be a start towards a wallet selector. This would be a component literally locally verifying some elements before credentials are pushed through to relying parties or verifier
  • Some of this is what we're talking about in the trust spanning layer in the trust spanning protocol. You establish some linkage based on this protocol, and you exchange some information to establish whether you trust the connection and want to have a conversation with this third party
