The Layout is the set building process which is created with only references of published assets.

Note: A layout can also result in a propSet which is a collection of props that is then again used in another layout/set.

Note: Terminology here is often confusing, think of layout as creating a: set, collection, group of things or the entirely filled shot environment.

  • Layout must only contain referenced nodes (upon extraction)
  • Layout may contain deformed referenced nodes (note that the result here is new output shapes which are non-referenced)
