Releases: minter/mxvoice-electron
v3.1.5
v3.1.4
Much like you forgot about Drè, you forgot about Mx. Voice updates. But don't you fret, we're back with some new feature development for the first time in a hot minute! Allow us to introduce version 3.1.4!
New in this version:
- When Mx. Voice quits or crashes (as if), it will remember its current state, and reload that state when it starts next time. To get a completely clean slate, go to
View -> Start A New Session
- You can adjust the font size of the app up and down in the
View
menu, for those of us old enough to now need bifocals - The app will remember the order in which you drag the panels
- You can double-click on a tab to rename it
- Hotkeys to show/hide the waveform and advanced search (available in the
View
menu as well) - You can view the release notes for the current release, as well as all releases, in the App Menu (Mac) or Help Menu (Windows)
- The build system was changed from
electron-forge
toelectron-builder
. Hopefully you didn't notice. - Various other internal libraries have been updated, including the Library of Congress, the Library of Alexandria, and the Ripberger Public Library in Kenbridge, Virginia
As always, if you have questions, drop us an email at help@mxvoice.app
v3.1.3
Welcome to Mx. Voice 3.1.3! This is release contains the following updates:
- Fix for a bug where you could drop one of the panels onto itself when reordering them, thereby removing that panel from existence and requiring a restart to get it back
- Update to Electron 11
- Other Node package updates
v3.1.2
Mx. Voice 3.1.2 fixes a few bugs that popped up after people starting using the 3.1.x series:
- Fixed a problem where the "rename hotkeys / rename holding tank" prompt box would not show up
- Fixed a problem where a bad song ID in a saved hotkey file would prevent the file from loading (thanks to Mike Topel for reporting)
- Fixed a UI misalignment in the hotkey / holding tank tab interface
v3.1.1
v3.1.0
Welcome to Mx. Voice version 3.1.0! This release upgrades the Electron framework from version 8 to version 9. It also updates some other node packages used by the software.
In terms of features, a couple of new things:
- Preferences have been reworked to remove a dependency on a library that no longer worked
- The dialog boxes that pop up when renaming hotkeys or holding tanks should now respect Dark Mode on your system.
v3.0.0
It's here! The first official production release of Mx. Voice! Thanks to everyone who helped us take this from an idea to reality over the course of the past couple of months! The software has been used in shows for a while now, and we consider it ready to go. If you run into any problems, though, let us know!
What's New Since beta8
- Advanced Search (click the + button in the search bar). Search specifically by title/artist/info, or see what's new recently
- Modal windows now respect dark mode, dark lord
- After pausing a song, clicking play will resume the song from where it left off, instead of starting from the beginning
- Fixed another bug where odd characters in a title/artist could prevent a file from being copied to its new forever home
- Speed improvements when displaying search results
- Fixed an odd scenario where attempting to play a new song while the current song was in the process of fading out would cause all sound to stop
- Other bug fixes and UI improvements
v3.0.0-beta8
Over the holiday weekend, we're dropping another beta release of Mx. Voice! Beta 8 continues the cleanup and refinement toward the official 3.0 release! Several of us have been using this in shows recently, so we're getting confident that it's ready for prime time.
What's new since Beta 7
- Bug fixes and cleanups around the waveform visualization
- Fixed a bug found by Ken Wells where non-alphanumeric characters in the title/artist of an audio file could break file copying on Windows
- The "Bulk Add Songs From Directory" feature now adds songs found in any subdirectories of the chosen folder
- Other bug fixes to taste
v3.0.0-beta7
Happy weekend! Mx. Voice beta7 is here for your listening pleasure. We're finishing up the last few things on the checklist before releasing the official release of version 3.0.0! Keep those bug reports and suggestions coming!
New in beta7
- Updated designs
- Dark Mode support for OS X
- Right-click on items in the search results box to get a context menu (play/edit/delete)
- Fixed a bug where attempting to import an audio file whose duration could not be read crashed. Now, the audio is imported with a duration of
00:00
.
v3.0.0-beta6
This fixes a bug in beta5 that prevented you from adding songs into an existing category. Adding songs into a new category worked just fine. But that would lead to category overload.
