Just checking before merge - do we know that in most scenarios you can upgrade to 4.4.7 from versions < 4.2.9 easily? I'd guess it's somewhat academic at this point. |

@MikeyMJCO affirmative. And in general, smaller upgrades are less error-prone than bigger jumps. |

4.2 is super old. I'm bumping up the minimum recommended upgrade version to 4.4, which was released back in 2013!
