Preparing new release

• address any current CRAN check issues
• review and update authorship in DESCRIPTION
• start release branch
• create release PR from new release branch
• bump version in DESCRIPTION
• rebuild readme.md with devtools::build_readme()
• check devtools::spellcheck()
• check that devtools::check(cran = TRUE) passes
• check that github builds pass (triggered by PR)
• update NEWS.md, describing all changes and new features
• update cran-comments.md
• update codemeta.json with codemetar::write_codemeta()
• check that devtools::check_rhub() passes
• check that devtools::check_win_release() passes
• check that devtools::check_mac_release() passes
• check that devtools::check_win_devel() passes
• build pkgdown website with devtools::build_site(run_dont_run=TRUE)
• submit to CRAN with devtools::release()
• confirm CRAN submission email (Adriaan)
• receive confirmation of release on CRAN
• merge bioRad PR into master
• Tag release on master branch
• Create release on Github, listing the changes from NEWS.md and linking to closed issues of associated milestone
• check that github release triggered Zenodo archive
• start new development version X.X.X.9000 on develop branch from master (update version in DESCRIPTION). See here, we will use 9000 to indicate development (and not increment it)
• build and publish development website
