Remote payment

You can easily pay your friend with an IOU, because he trusts you. Paying a complete stranger is a bit more complex, because you can't pay him directly. But in a social network, everyone is connected with many friends, and through chains of friends of friends, with everyone else.

So you can give your friend an IOU, who will in turn give his friend an IOU, and so on, until the destination is reached. It is job of the software to locate the shortest way through the network. For this purpose, we deploy RetroShare's Turtle Router
