Running Wild
This is about the Worgen racial ability, Running Wild.
Running Wild is almost, but not quite, a real ground mount. LiteMount specifically allows Running Wild only from human or worgen form, because that is how the game does it.
You can only cast Running Wild if you are in human or worgen form. Any shapeshift of any type stops it working.
You can easily test this by going to Gadgetzan and buying a Noggenfogger Elixir and drinking it in human form. You can't cast running wild, and you also can't cast Two Forms to go back into worgen form. Even weirder you can cast druid forms, but they don't transform you.
You can't cast Running Wild from druid shapeshift forms. But, if you have autounshift set to 1 (the default, you can change it back and forth with /console autounshift 0
and /console autounshift 1
) then WoW will automatically unshift you to cast it. Except if you are otherwise shapeshifted (e.g., Noggenfogger) it will fail.
The summary of all this is that there's a lot of shapeshift situations where Running Wild will look like it should work, but will fail with an error message (in English, "You can't do that while shapeshifted") and there's no way to tell it will fail in advance (I suppose except to collate and maintain a huge list of every shapeshift buff and debuff in the game but that's beyond my ability).
LiteMount does the best it can to make sure you never push the button and get a strange error message and nothing happens, which unfortunately does put some limitations on ordinary Running Wild use.
