@pat-s @anbraten I have manually changed this PR. What will happen if we merge it? I guess the ready-release-plugin will still create the wrong tag?

The current description says it will create 2.8.2.

From looking at the code, I think the release plugin will still create v3.0.0 tag. lll create an independent PR to adjust the changelog.
