Comments
Have the same issue. 8.0 iso image works. Tested with grub2 & normal boot. Partition Style: GBT Ventoy Version More details:
|
Thank you for the additional feedback. This is exactly what I faced 👍 |
same issue |
Also happens here. |
Same here, tried to enable secure boot but I just get a black screen eight after the boot screen. Went "bare metal" instead and that works with secure boot enabled. |
Hello, I've been running ventoy on a Corsair Survivor 32 Go USB Key.
|
I'm facing the same problem right now with latest ISO |
Exactly the same issue here. Using Rufus with the exact same .iso for 8.1 works fine though |
Can confirm no ISO found with ventoy and proxmox 8.1 |
same issue |
Same for me poke @MilesTEG1 |
Hi all, |
Proxmox VE 8.1-1 ISO install with ventoy CI release 12041513 worked on my Super Micro Server. |
Can also confirm with |
I had the same issue and this release solved it for me too. Thanks. |
Hi, I am experiencing the same issue.
I just tested this, and it resolves the issue for me! Thanks! |
had the same issue this solved it 👍 |
Had this problem as well (on version 1.0.96) and now the linked ci release (12041513) works perfectly |
same issue, this solved it 👍 |
Also ran into this, can confirm that CI release is working for 8.1 |
it works for me, thx |
updating to this did not solve the issue - i still get |
Same on my machine, still could not boot Proxmox. |
found a small workaround via the ventoy website about secure boot - the page itself is outdated but you can navigate your way through finding a solution with this method with trial and erorr. There is a screen that will appear called "enroll MOK" you can, as the gifs on the site kind of exaplain" enroll ventoy in the MOK thing and will allow you to boot into your ventoy stick. I chose the first option "enroll" however you need to select VENTOY to find the file that you see in the gif on the link above. If its not in that specific location then keep looking around for either location. From reading other blogs about PCIE passthrough and enrolling other devices in MOK once youve done this once you dont need to do it again. |
Worked for me. Curious if there is an ETA when this will be released into an official release version? |
worked for me too |
Hi all, I had the same problem and CI release (12041513) solved the problem. Also the new release (1.0.97 atm) works like a charm. |
Can ventoy also boot Or that is a question for https://github.com/ventoy/vtoyboot project? My installation on on top of debian so likely would hit this: ventoy/vtoyboot#76 |
I have just confirmed this is fixed by updating my ventoy to the latest release |
UEFI, test environment: Lenovo ThinkPad X140e. The issue can be closed. |
I can also confirm it works, and this issue can be closed. 🥳 |
Same issue but now resolved. |
resolved with |
Should probably note that you have to delete, then re-add the iso to ventoy, simply updating ventoy doesn't fix the issue. At least it didn't for me |
Am having same issue with Ventoy v1.0.97 when trying to install the Proxmox VE v8.2-1 ISO. |
I can confirm upgrading to Ventoy 1.0.98 and replacing the Proxmox VE ISO and the issue is gone. |
Like @cwiggs mentioned updating Ventoy to 1.0.98 fixed the issue for me too (With Proxmox VE v8.2.1) |
Just upgrade to the latest Ventoy and try again... |
With Ventoy 1.0.99, I can't install proxmox ve v8.2.1. It fails with the same error on the original report. Could it be because I'm trying to install it on mbr/with a legacy bios? |
Same issue here with newest iventoy docker and pve 8.2.1 |
Same issue with me |
Works now with proxmox ve 8.2.2 and ventoy v1.0.99 |
Can confirm it works with proxmox ve 8.2.2 and ventoy v1.0.99. Can be closed from my POV. |
For me (Lenovo ThinkCentre M720Q, Ventoy 1.0.99 GPT, Proxmox 8.2.2) it works in grub2 mode, but didn't in normal mode. |
ventoy-1.0.99 |
I had this issue in |
ventoy-1.0.99 |
Same for me, unfortunately. Seems like the issue has cropped up again with the latest version of Proxmox, 8.3-1. |
Same issue here. iVentoy 1.0.20 / Proxmox VE 8.3.1 ISO. |
ventoy 1.1.00 is working for me with proxmox VE 8.3-1 ISO. With an older version of ventoy I had the problem like above. |
