This project aims to rebuild the original Classic 3D resource pack from the ground up. The original project grew increasingly complex and harder to maintain. With years of legacy code and a lack of interest, the project became abandoned. Redux is a careful and methodical recreation.
Classic 3D Redux is built with mcpacker. It should be noted that MCPacker has only been tested with Linux and will likely only work on unix-like OSes.
Create a file in your .minecraft
folder called allowed_symlinks.txt
.
Add the directory of the project's build
folder.
This is required since MCPacker creates symlinks in the resourcepack folder to the build.
For example:
[prefix]C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\classic-3d-redux
Run the following command to generate a 1.20 debug build. This will link a
mcpacker build debug 1-20
If you want to have rapid prototyping, then use the --listen
flag or -l
for short.
This tells mcpacker to listen for any changes and rebuild as soon as it notices them.
mcpacker build debug 1-20 -l
If you just want a flat zip file for each version, then you just need to run the following command:
mcpacker build release ALL
