Request for explanation on the database enumerations.

I thought the way it worked was

enumeration_book_target_audience
REF | DESCRIPTION
1 | Adult
2 | Children 3 to 6 years old
3 | Children 6 to 9 years old
... | ...

when creating books
title_100
author_100
book_target_audience_100=2

title_200
author_200
book_target_audience_200=3

and that for the display, BiblioteQ transformed the REF 1; 2 or 3 into DESCRIPTION

but with the spelling problem I encountered I have the impression that

when creating books

title_100
author_100
book_target_audience_100=Children 3 to 6 years old

title_200
author_200
book_target_audience_200=Children 6 to 9 years old

and so if I change in enumeration_book_target_audience the value "Children 3 to 6 years old", nothing happens in the nothing happens in the concerned documents.

Does this mean that the enumerations are an input aid, a criterion for searches but do not offer the possibility of modifying the field concerned?

Absolutely not. Enumerations are independent single values.

1. Create N target audience values.
2. During a book edit, select a defined value or define a new value.

That's it. MARC21 and UNIMARC queries will populate the target audiences if the queries contain such fields.
