A milestone for all the issues and PRs that are work in progress or their merge window is not yet decided.

Milestone to track all issues/PRs that need to be ready for the 0.301.0 release.

The next release to master branch.

Current status: Feature Freeze and regression fixing.

All issues/PRs assigned to this milestone are for regressions discovered after releasing 0.300.0 that need to be shipped out quickly.

OLD!

The issues/PRs in this milestone need to be reviewed and prioritized for 0.301.0.

0.106 will be 0.200 instead since there is a lot of breaking changes.

The objective are:

to get rid of all the submodules which makes updates non-trivial, ideally all we want to update spacemacs with just git pull --rebase.
merge packages.el and extensions.el
better declaration of layers (explicit list with properties, like for the merge of packages and extensions).
