After the installation of the package, the start menu shortcut points to a
non-existing file in %python%\Lib\site-packages\spyder

The shortcut need to point to the installed spyder.exe (or .pyw) in
%python%\Scripts

Could you please copy/paste the exact wrong path?
Without this information, I can't understand what's wrong: the path seems to be
correctly coded in the installer.

The shortcut file spyder.lnk installed in the Start Menu points to a (non-existent)
path "C:\Scripts\spyder.pyw". Supposedly, this should be %python%\Scripts\spyder.pyw.

It's a minor issue, admittedly. Still present in beta3 as well.

All files are installed correctly, though, including spyder.pyw in %python%\Scripts.
The shortcut simply do not point to the right place.

I am able to recreate the issue consistently.

Thanks: it helps!
I've just updated the Windows installers (Py 2.5 + Py 2.6). Could you please tell me if
it works for you?

thx
Pierre
