Main toolbars are wrongly positioned on application window as shown in the
attached screenshot.

Please test again with v1.0.0beta10.
This bug could be fixed.

To start from scratch:
python spyder.py --reset

I have just tried it, and the same happens. If I close spyder and then restart the
left hand options are shifter over to the left out of site.

To investigate further this issue, could you please (Alex and Peter and everyone else
having this problem) post your configuration details?
(OS name & version, Python version, PyQt4 version)
(If Linux: KDE or Gnome?)
(If Gnome: with/without Compiz? which Qt4 compatibility settings?)

I had the same behaviour:

Windows XP Service Pack 2
Python 2.5.4
PyQt4.4.3

But now its working:
I just moved the following complete menu bar a little bit to the left and to the
right until the rest of the missing menus appeared. And now when I restart spyder
its working.

I also have missing text/characters in the menu and tabs, as indicated in the
attachement "Spyder.png" above.

My setup:
Kubuntu 8.10
Spyder 1.0.0
Python 2.5.2
PyQt 4.4.3
Q4 4.4.1

Regards,
Martin

This should be fixed in v1.1.0alpha1 (hg repository) or at least when passing the
option --reset.
