I am a statistician with a love for technology. Blending the two, I am always interested in providing non-trivial means of solving or simulating complicated problems. I am particularly fond of queueing theory and its applications to computer engineering.
Much of my personal work has revolved around creating a package allowing for the simulation and study of parallel queueing systems with job redundancy -- an area likely to increase in public interest as cluster computing becomes ever-more popular. My package "ParallelQueue" is the culmination of my Masters research and is something I hope can be used to streamline research in this area.
