Pending (101) on some windows machine

My app does not work in some windows machines. I tried with chrome, ie and firefox with no result.
Where do I have to put my hands?
Could somebody please help me?

If I set this in the server

io.set('transports', [
      , 'xhr-polling'
    ]);

as the only transport it starts to work.
