My brain sees this and things
as_chunks::<CHUNK_SIZE>()
, but I guess that's not really worth doing right now when we can't loop over slice iterators inconst fn

We can just call
is_ascii_simple
in const, so there's no reason to do any const-specific adjustments IMO.
