Nav View and Standalone Visualizer can't run in parallel (ros-pkg ticket #479) #30
Comments
[jfaust] This is strange, I've run them both at the same time a number of times. What else are you running when this happens? |
[eitan] I was seeing the issue when running the nav stack (including master) on the robot (frodo) and attempting to run Nav View and Standalone Visualizer on my local machine. I will try to reproduce this sometime today and I'll let you know what happens. Also, I'll try to run them in parallel without anything running on an external machine and see if I get the same result. |
[jfaust] Closing this since I saw you using them in parallel this morning. |
When I start Nav View and then start Standalone Visualizer, only the display for Nav View will appear. Immediately after I close the Nav View display, however, the display for Standalone Visualizer will appear. I can also produce the same effect in the reverse order by starting Standalone Visualizer first and then Nav View. Not sure why these tools can't run in parallel, but its probably worth looking into.
