We had to remove this setting to simplify the extension and avoid issues with the unofficial YT API. This should be now possible with the CLI approach, so if anyone wants to contribute, this would be a great addition!

can't we have it as an optional feature? if not can you suggest any work around for it? It was very useful to me.

Yeah, I really miss the format selection and clipping feature. They should definitely add it.
