I recently tried to use python sdk for creating spot block clusters and ran into this issue as well.
Apart from the change already done here, we also need to allow 'spotblock' type in 'slave_request_type' parameter. Otherwise, trying to use spot block nodes for autoscaled nodes results in the exception:
cluster create: error: argument --slave-request-type: invalid choice: 'spotblock' (choose from 'ondemand', 'spot', 'hybrid')
