Having a look at the repository there doesn't seem to be much in the way of activity. Really only translations and dependency updates.
The main website issues a invalid expired certificate as of November 11th 2023 and nobody has fixed that. That is not a good look from our page.
While it does have an adblocker/javascript blocking, this is because it renders every RSS article in an internal HTML browser. This really is not the purpose of RSS which is to provide a universal view to users, eg every page is supposed to look the same without page styling.
Having compared that to Newsflash I would say Newsflash is better, and also modern GTK4+.
