Excellent, thanks, @crism! Agreed with your decision to leave the author process for now -- this kind of thing will need some deeper work (possibly including improving plugin support for altering component behavior). Howerver, there's a merge conflict here -- could you give a crack at rebasing? |

Per pkp/pkp-lib#1450, this now works with OJS 3 and (I think) OMP 1.2.
