Release Automation

Adding release automation to this repository:

  • Auto-generates the changelog, no manual changelog entries anymore
  • Updates the Parse Android SDK API docs

The push to the registry (jitpack) is not required as it is pulled automatically.

Considerations

  • ⚠️ The old way of creating releases (creating a release in the GitHub UI) is hereby obsolete.

  • Any push to master branch will trigger a release with auto-version increment.

  • See the contribution guide for what to consider when merging a pull request or doing any branch commit.

  • There are currently no pre-release branches to speed up development and get feedback faster. If a pre-release if needed to mature a larger change, please contact @parse-community/android-sdk-maintenance.
