Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

If stanza is in a bad state, where it cannot be managed by systemd, it is possible that the system will hang forever during shutdown.

To Reproduce
Not sure how I broke stanza.

Expected behavior
If stanza is in a bad state, systemd should rely on a timeout rather than waiting forever. The DefaultTimeoutStopSec can probably be leveraged to solve this issue.
