It was requested before: https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/22518. My guess is that they may never want to support it, though, to prevent abuse of assigning commit credits to accounts that you don't control. (that's my speculation, at least)

Yes, I can understand the problem with just trusting a random text file. But this is the best we can do.
