I did not know of this functionality. It is good enough but it can be improved

with the mouse. When you click with the mouse it behaves like VS. But it
definitely doesn't behave like VS when you drag the mouse.
There is no corresponding Alt + Drag version available in VS Code (Issue
#5402 <#5402> currently on
backlog).
- VS Code Alt+Shift: If you move the mouse to the left of the cursor,
the cursor position starts to change. It's not possible to select text
towards the left of your initial cursor position. I think it's a bad
behavior for selecting text.
- VS Alt: If you move the mouse to the left of the cursor, the cursor
stays where it is, but the selection is left-hand side.
I think the VS implementation of vertical selection is far more superior
towards usability.
