Something is very broken in the commenting system, with the main symptom being comments not appearing. It appears to depend on whether you're logged in, and on who you're logged in as.
Consider http://agentfoundations.org/item?id=195#comments "Modal Bargaining Agents". When logged in as myself, the front page and the count at the top of the page say it has 8 comments, and there are 8 comments present. When viewing through an incognito window, the front page and the count at the top of the page say it has 6 comments, but only 5 comments are actually displayed. And in reality, there's a 9th comment, which I can't see when logged in as myself, but which Janos (who posted it) can see when logged in as himself. But form him, it says there are 7 and displays 6.

The forum has a tiered system of membership, where posts, links and
comments by invited members are immediately fully visible, whereas links
and comments by contributors are only visible after they've acquired a
certain number of Likes, currently two (except for comments by contributors
on their own publicly visible links, which are immediately publicly
visible). For more about how the forum works, see the "How to Contribute"
page:
It looks like you and Janos both logged in through Facebook rather than
using the login in the invitation that we sent you, which created separate
accounts in the contributor status. I have changed both of these accounts
to have full member status now. (It would help to keep things tidy if you
used only these accounts from now on :-))
