Background

Until NixOS/nixpkgs#107466 is realized, using same channel as nixos-unstable to maintain both Linux and macOS is a hard thing for me.

Problems

Want

  • Keep nixos-24.05 for Linux but switch to nixpkgs-24.05-darwin in macOS

How

  • Remove code which depend on unstable channel in macOS
  • Provide different flake file for macOS?

#913 reduced the pain around this issue. So I close for now
