I started using Kanata yesterday and it immediately made my keyboard more ergonomic. I've defined a navigation and editing layer that I switch to by pressing right Alt. (config below) I'd like to be able to lock shift on by tapping the shift key when I'm in the nav layer. That way, I will select text between the point at which I actived the lock and wherever the caret is now. I would like to terminate the lock after C-x (which is in my nav layer) or by tapping shift again. This feature would also let me scroll in a terminal with just the up down pgup pgdn keys. Is this possible?

Fake keys should enable what you're asking for: https://github.com/jtroo/kanata/blob/main/docs/config.adoc#fake-keys |
