Please look into building the melpa package from the master branch.

Looking at the diff master..melpa, all I can tell is that there are huge differences. I don't think it is desirable that users who install the package from melpa get a version that is very different from what one gets when installing the package directly from the repository.

Shelve "elnode" and dependants

The distribution situation is just too messed up, and it doesn't look
like it is going to be fixed.  The code in the repository is completely
different from the packaged code.

See jcaw/elnode#1.
