     				<p>PARK(ing) Day is an annual worldwide event where people come together to creatively re-imagine parking lots, injecting vibrancy and fun into the streets. In 2013, students from the SUTD, as well as community members pioneered the first edition of PARK(ing) Day in Singapore. Since then, URA has supported this movement under Our Favourite Place programme and co-organised PARK(ing) Day with SUTD from 2016 to 2018. Over the years, we have seen hundreds of interactive PARKs set up by participants from all walks of life! In line with the ground-up spirit of this movement and to encourage greater community ownership, SUTD took the lead to organise the event this year, with URA continuing to support by facilitating road closures and providing approval for the use of parking lots.</p>

+                    <p>All particpants gathered together at Tan Quee Lan Street and Liang Seah Street, set up their booths from as early as 9am in the morning in preparation for the event beginning at 1pm. The approximated footfall of the event was around a thousand people, from all walks of life. The event which lasted until 5pm really served its purpose of bringing life into parking spaces and increasing the vibrancy of public spaces!
