• Bump the minimum supported Rust version (MSRV) to 1.56.0 from 1.38.0.

• Update bitflags from version 1 to 2. This is a breaking change to the State, Status and Protocols types, but I tried to keep them compatible following bitflags's instructions so hopefully it doesn't break any usage in practice.

• Make ctl_code a const fn.
