What happened to the stream?

Not loading

Possible Replacement

N/A

Notes

You'll either get:

  • Not loading
  • A kapang screen that suggests that a channel is offair
  • A screen with some music playing

No idea why this has started happening, this affects channels such as ITV and Channel 4 as well as a few others.

Please confirm the following

Confirmed. Only some of the cdnuk001.broadcastcdn.net streams are broken:

working:

  • KUK-ITV3 (ITV3)
  • KUK-ITV4 (ITV4)
  • KUK-ITVBE (ITV Be)

Broken:

  • KUK-CHANNEL4 (Channel 4)
  • KUK-ITV001 (ITV1)
  • KUK-ITV2 (ITV2)

I suspect they blocked the most popular channels again and rotated the links. Cannot find any new links that work; would be appreciated if anyone finds them.

Confirmed. Only some of the cdnuk001.broadcastcdn.net streams are broken:

I have one which has slightly more channels including Dave, Dave Ju Vu, ITV1 +1, Channel 4 +1, GBNews (the ones here which use a different source seems to be broken as well), Channel 5 and everything is broken.

Well, it's a bit weirder than that. Links aren't broken per-se, but since it's a Flussonic stream, I highly suspect an issue behind the main source they use. If the link is broken, it directly answers with a 404. The link still works, but the server simply doesn't answer.

seems to have gotten worse yesterday or today. The remaining streams from cdnuk001.broadcastcdn.net now show only a testcard with background music.

It's looking more like an intentional thing to block these streams, either they don't respond, or they show a testcard 24x7. I suspect the fix will require finding the new link that they were replaced with.

"due to numerous persons stealing our streams, we had to change the links. if you're a kapang member, you will be mailed with the new links." is the sort of message some persons had.

No messages like that, but I suspect this is what happened, they just make it less obvious now. That being the case, it's a matter of finding the new links.

I'm closing this issue since ITV1, Channel 5 and I would imagine other stuff now works again.

Confirmed. They were broken at 8:00 PM GMT yesterday (one of my recordings failed), but are fixed as of 3:00PM today (recording succeeded). Must have been a temporary glitch.

Yeah, it's gone again.

@MrMussa you do realise Channel 5 isn't this list afaik, and that's the wrong link anyways, it's KUK-FIVE.

They are gone. That's for sure. Are you sure Channel 5 isn't in your list? Got to check it out, I guess. Here is the feed to it. May have gone out at the same time as Itv's. Mussa

All broadcastcdn stuff tends to go out at the same time, Film4, E4, Really, More4, Dave, Drama, 5USA, Yesterday, 5Star, 5Action, ITV1 +1, DMAX, Quest Red, Legend, Food Network UK, Gems TV, Challenge and 5Select are more examples of broken channels (note that most of them are on my list, and aren't added here).

ITV4 returns a stream error message which is interesting in my app, probably won't show in the screenshot that I've attached below because of DRM stuff.
