What is a CX Card?

Every multi-roll A/V decoder chips have an analogue to digital converter (ADC) built in and used for real-time decoding.

This is typically a 10-bit ADC but today 12-bit ADCs are the norm for this application like those used in the analog devices ADV8742.

As these chips are built to conform to 4fsc sampling of NTSC/PAL Composite video signals they have 28msps 8-bit (upto 54msps) 14.3Mhz NTSC & 17.9Mhz PAL 10-bit (wrapped in 16 raw bits) sampling, for the most part, this makes them perfect for SDR applications due to the wide range of input signals they are built to process and the effective bandwidth with they are capable of.

40mhz is there ideal crystal rate or ideal sampling rate.
