DERM V1.6 - Big Update!!
Hello,
This update took 3 days of bug fixing, deprecation issues with steam, and a brand new feature that makes downgrading easy and fun through DERM Online Tool
Just Select the patch you want to downgrade to then click "Run with DERM", then the downgrade will start automatically (only if you save the session). Ofc you can still use the old way by running the app and clicking the downgrade button.
Here is the log of fixes and feature addition in this release:
- Integrated the latest official Steam DepotDownloader library.
- Fixed an issue where steam guard code does not show up.
- Updated the command lines that run in the background for compatibility with DepotDownloader.
- Fixed an issue where "Delete" key does not work when DERM is open.
- Fixed a bug where it always shows 'Depot Failed to download' at the end of the downgrade.
- Integrated a new protocol to allows you to downgrade downgrade to a specific patch at DERM Online Tool
- Improved downgrade Performance significantly by over 200% allowing you to downgrade much faster than previous versions of DERM.
- Added the ability to save your session so next time you don't have re-enter your info again.
- Added a manual method to download that lets you download .bat file and run it manually again at DERM Online Tool.
I will be posting a youtube tutorial about this explain both methods.

DERM V1.4 (Downgrading files work best now)
You Must Download DotNET Runtime 6 for the tool to function https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet/thank-you/sdk-6.0.100-windows-x64-installer
I found another bug with the DepotDownloader library which caused all depots not to downgrade correctly or even download. The issue is with the parameter -filelist. For some reason excluding files by extension is not as working as it used to be so I'm just revoking that ability to exclude .avi and .wmv files until it's fixed.
Now what matters is that you can downgrade your depots as accurate as before. The skip login option is back on working as well.
DERM V1.3.7.0 ( Fixed Downloading Depots failure)
Steam libraries recently received an a security update hence the failure the of downloading your depots. The new version merges those changes so you can downgrade and upgrade your depots again.

DERM V1.3.5.0 (No Login To Downgrade & More)
Yes seriously! You no longer need to input your steam credentials to downgrade/upgrade AOE2 DE. DERM received many changes and feature updates. Here is the full list of version changes, bug fixes and features:
- Downgrade/Upgrade Percentage progress should display in the same window instead of those messy command lines.
- Improved the tool performance significantly.
- Check "Skip Steam Login" to downgrade/upgrade without inserting your steam credentials. (If you can't downgrade some depots then you have to use steam credentials instead.)
- Downgrade Tool "Settings" button includes new features: Change your game directory; Customize Simultaneous downloads (choose high value if your internet is bad).
- You can now Drag&Drop or import zip files of recorded games or regular recorded files in the Browser Tab.
- Go To Settings Tab and turn on Add DERM to Windows Defender so you no longer get download chunk errors during downgrade.
- DERM will check your Steam only once to grab your game path. Or you can equally set a custom game path in the downgrade tool window > Settings button.
- In the "Browse Replays" tab, your recorded games should now show player names & chat properly.
- Other minor fixes and optimizations.
