Register to Vote

Login to https://my.gochain.foundation

Click "Proposals":

Then you'll see a list of proposals that are available to register, vote on, or see the final results.

If you see a proposal that is open for registration and you are interested in voting, click "Register to Vote":

Then you'll be able to add any addresses you own. The amount of voting tokens you'll receive will be the exact amount of GO you have at those addresses at the start time. 1 GO = 1 VOTE-X token.

The easiest way to register an address is to use MetaMask or another DApp browser and click "Import from Metamask". Otherwise you can use eth_sign to sign "I love GoChain!" and paste in the signed message. This proves that you own the address.

Voting

Once a vote has started, you'll be airdropped VOTE-X tokens, where X is the GIP number, to all your registered addresses. In order to vote simply send those tokens to the provided address for the choice you'd like to make.

There are two ways to send the tokens.

  1. If you have a connected wallet (DApp browser), simply click the Cast Vote button and it will help you send your tokens via your connected wallet.
  2. If you aren't using a connected wallet, you'll have to send the VOTE-X tokens manually. To do that, add the VOTE-X contract address which you'll find on the vote card. Then send the tokens to the address listed under the vote choices.

By sending your tokens, you are placing your vote. That's it!
