Note that the zkSnark state transition related stuff is inspired by Alex's Eth Research post Plasma Snapp which was inspired by Barry WhiteHat's post Roll Up. A "competitor" of ours Starkware has a few very good articles on Medium Starkware Medium (Search for "StarkDEX Deep Dive (parts 1 to 4)". Also, their article on Validity vs Fraud Proofs was quite good.
