How can I set ghostty as the default terminal in xfce4?

Hello fellow community,

I currently have the problem with settings ghostty as the default-terminal in xfce4.
This brings several features, like opening a terminal in the current directory with a right-click inside thunar.

In the dropdown there is no suggestion for ghostty (like there is on alacritty and other terminal emulators). But you can specify a custom one.

I added ghostty there, which defaults to ghostty "%s". When trying to start the terminal in a specific path the terminal always starts in the home directory.
I tried a different approach which ghostty --working-directory="%d" "%s". But this still does not work.

Would be happy, if someone could help with this. Really enjoying ghotty :)

Already saw most of this post, but could not get this working. Did you try it yourself?

Im not using XFCE so I cant really verify any of those solutions

This works for me.

Default Applications > Utilities > Terminal Emulator: ghostty --working-directory="%d" -e "%s"
