How to watch a video with captions

To watch our videos with captions enabled, you will have to use a media player that supports SubRip formatted captions. We recommend using the VLC media player.

Download VLC media player

Download VLC and install it.

VLC is an open source media player that supports SubRip captions on Linux, os x, and Windows.

Open the video and captions files in VLC

Open the video file in VLC:

On os x, use "Open with VLC" to open a video in VLC

In VLC, select the menu item Video > Subtitles Track > Open file...

In VLC, select the menu item Video > Subtitles Track > Open file...

Use the file browser to select the .srt file containing captions for the video.

When you press play, you should now be able to see captions:
