iTunes Restore keeps the money/private keys in the Cloud. #16
Comments
We don’t upload private keys to iTunes either. But if you’re backing up your phone with all apps and settings and restoring all apps as well, even jaxx will restore in full. |
That’s why one does s restore from backup when they get a new phone so they don’t have to set up all apps they have all over again. Out of our control. |
Whilst backup of an apps document directory is standard, there is no need to be concered as Keychain is encrypted. Notwithstanding, @fotolockr could move to using the kCFURLIsExcludedFromBackupKey flag to ensure key data is excluded from iCloud backup. to my brother... that was weird... a security flaw.
Jaxx does not upload private keys to iTunes.
when iPhone is restored, Jaxx is empty...
that is good for people that forgot to write down the private keys & Pair ID/QR...
that option should be optional, disabled by default, asked when creating a wallet.
