1.0.0 is already included in the version range.

Yes and no, it indeed included but it doesn't resolve to 1.0.0, this dep automatically resolves to 0.5.1

Someone could say use dep overrides, but if project contains A LOT of sub projects (plugins and packages) it becomes a hell.

So, I still think that sticking with a stable version is preferable
