I have recently build a feature for Kibana 6.1.4, where you can add a dashboard link to the panel header.

When you add a link the panel title becomes clickable and opens the linked dashboard. It's a pretty simple feature, but I think it's more user friendly than storing your links in the markdown visualisation somewhere on the dashboard (like: you want more infomation to the visualized data? Just click the title and get to the details dashboard).

Since this is a community submitted pull request, a Jenkins build has not been kicked off automatically. Can an Elastic organization member please verify the contents of this patch and then kick off a build manually?

The CLA was signed by the company I work for. I don't get why the check has failed.

@elastic/kibana-app can you take a look at this because it's an interesting feature?

Hi,

sorry this PR seemed to have slipped our radar for way too long. I apologize for that and thank you for your contribution.

Unfortunately I'll need to close this in favor of some larger dashboard/embeddable efforts we currently have ongoing. We're currently extending our Embeddability and Action infrastructure making interaction from dashboard panels and between them having a clear API. This API will then be used to build user customizable interaction (#12560) between panels, that will allow for linking and filtering. So unfortunately we're not continuing with this PR right now in favor of the new embeddable architecture.

I am sorry, and deeply appreciate the time you took building this.

Cheers,
Tim
